YTB TRAVEL COMPLAINT PROBLEMS

YTB Travel Problems is enmeshed in endless litigation.

YTB International, inc. is under fire with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), as well as with YTB travel complaints known to exist with its former associates, as well, presumably, individuals in Canada and the Carribean regions, its other "international" markets of opportunity. The BBB also released information of YTB travel complaints filed from over 31 states. YTB travel lawsuits are most notable with the class-action lawsuit filed by California State's Attorney General Edmond Brown, who perhaps has spearheaded the currents of YTB travel complaints in federal court.

Over 90 YTB travel complaints were filed with the Better Business Bureau in eastern Missouri and southern Illinois since 2005, of which , the BBB says more than 40 of those YTB travel complaints filed this year 2008, according to St. Louis Business Journal (Aug 8, 2008). California and Illinios have filed class action YTB travel lawsuits in federal court on behalf of as many as 1,000 people who were former YTB members.

However, it is unclear as to the extent of the Federal Trade Commissions direct involvement with the current YTB travel problems on either side. So far, YTB travel lawsuits are not nearing any closure. It should be noted, that this is a civil matter and therefore, improper to emphasize issues associated with criminal intent on any individuals.

Furthermore, "plans that pay commissions for recruiting new distributors inevitably collapse when no new distributors can be recruited," the Federal Trade Commission says on its Web site (www.ftc.gov) in talking about multilevel marketing plans. "And when a plan collapses, most people -- except perhaps those at the very top of the pyramid -- lose their money." The federal government appears to be non-chalant or distant when the activities are questions of business ethics than of law. In a manner of speaking, it is fair to suggest that YTB travel problems may not bear any level of criminal negligence, but certainly, the review of MLM actions should raise concerns about the integrity of private institutions policing themselves.

In Florida, the BBB is also responding to a number of YTB travel complaints, but so far, no YTB travel lawsuits are filed as of yet. Perhaps, the question is political in terms of the level of government intrusion in a free enterprise system. The lawsuits, however, if plausible will be restrictive as relating to civil matters of unfairness in contracts and whether in violation specific to a prescribed statute. However, legal or illegal, or the vagueness of what is a pyramid scheme, YTB travel problems are a test to consider how much need to have for government intrusion. I prefer and propose if not a prima faciae case, lacking legal cause, that still recommendations for compensation be implemented for the individuals who were defrauded or induced with false claims.

YTB international, Inc. has not stepped up to the plate, other than to derive another plan to line its pockets, and to sell out with a franchise in order to avoid responsbility. Corrupt privateers or questionable leadership in the corporate arena that lacked the foreseeable outcome that their mlm program had an 80% failure rate (over 80% of associates failed to earn a dime in 2007), though the top echelon were able to line their own pockets is a YTB travel problem. YTB travel problems is in its unethical concept of an mlm program that was set up and known to fail, but the pockets of those who created the program, sat back and still collected bloodmoney from its own associates.

Traverus Travel has a vision "To empower our independent Travel Agents and their families to achieve the financial freedom", which means that the intent is for everyone to get a good chunk of the $7 trillion world travel industry pie. David Manning CEO and president of Traverus Travel, personally, did his homework in setting up the Traverus Travel compensation plan.

Like anyone else I want go into business with people who know about business and investments and can show me the way. YTB travel problems and YTB travel complaints could have been avoided had the corporate leadership considered more about the goal of creating a realistic and reachable goal of success (more on that with my second post).
